Joe Stevenson (Year 9) has had tremendous success in his boxing recently. He reached the semi-finals of the ABA championships being narrowly defeated by his opponent who then went through to win the whole competition. This was held in Coventry as a national tournament and the winner will be fighting for England. On March 7th, Joe beat last year's ABA champion which is a fantastic achievement considering he has not been competing in the sport for long. In May he will be fighting this year's A.B.A. champ and we wish him all the very best for this. Unlike many of the pros, Joe is modest about his awesome achievements in this highly competitive and disciplined sport.
