Musical Success for Cathedral School Pupils |

Several
Cathedral School pupils have achieved great
success at the Lichfield Competitive
Music Festival held over the past two weekends. The most notable of which were:-

Lydia
Borg and Oliver Barber – who
came first and second respectively in the Vocal Solo Age 13-17.

Chloe
Gerrard - second in the Folk Vocal Solo
Age 12 and under.

Nathaniel
Paxton and Andrew Armstrong -
first and second, respectively, in the String Solo Age 12 and under.

Sophie
Benfield - second in the Musical Vocal Solo Age
12 and under.

Katie
Guest and Ellie Sterland - winners
in the Open Vocal Duet.

Ashton
Bryan and Chloe Gerrard
& Alexandra
Tullah and Beth Fisher -
Joint second in the Open Vocal Duet.

Nathaniel
Paxton and JJ
Gallagher - Joint winner and runner-up,
respectively, in the Boys Treble Solo.

Atkins, Molly Dell & Victoria Gough -
second in the Instrumental Ensemble Age 11 and under.

second in the Set Piece Vocal Solo 13-17.

Crane, Kathryn Coombes & Kathryn McKerrow -
winners of the Open Vocal Ensemble.

Encore Choir -
winners of the Senior Choirs Open.
Nick
Parrans-Smith, Director of Music at the Cathedral School,
said ‘The musical standard and effort from all of our pupils was again very
high indeed and I was extremely proud of them all. As, I’m sure, were the great following of
parents, friends and families who supported us with great enthusiasm.’
