Lichfield Cathedral School

Enterprising Lichfield Cathedral School pupils baked cakes to raise funds for BBC Children in Need last Friday.

The girls in Year 7, led by Zoe Fletcher from Tamworth, baked the cakes and sold them to other pupils during break and after lunch.  The efforts of the girls proved very popular and they managed to raise over £300.

Headmaster, Peter Allwood, said “The girls showed great initiative and organisational skills by planning and running the cake sale themselves.  All of the pupils were delighted to have the opportunity to buy a cake and help with the BBC’s fundraising efforts and the Year 7 girls are thrilled that they will be receiving a certificate from Children in Need to thank them for their efforts.
