Pupils and staff from Lichfield Cathedral School greeted the Duke of Gloucester on Wednesday when he arrived at Lichfield Cathedral to launch the Lichfield Inspires project.

Children from Year 4 represented the school and waved flags whilst the Duke, who is patron of the project, took a tour of the Cathedral and saw the plans for conservation, renovation and restoration due to take place from 2009 onwards.

The boy choristers from the Cathedral Choir delighted the Duke with their singing before he was introduced to Cathedral volunteers, Chapter members and staff.
