| Pupils Gather for Annual Speech Day |

All of the pupils in Years 3 – 9 were joined by governors,
staff, parents, grandparents and friends in the Cathedral on Saturday for the
Cathedral School’s Annual Speech Day and Presentation of Prizes. Following this year’s theme of ‘Beyond The Close’ there was a selection of poetry and readings by the pupils in French, Spanish, German, Dutch and Cantonese; before the Headmaster, Mr Peter Allwood, gave his annual report … in English! The audience was also entertained by musical performances from the Concert Orchestra, the Jazz Group, the Cathedral Choristers and the school Girls’ Choir.

awarded by this year’s special guest, Dr Annette Kratz from Keele University. |
