Michael Fabricant, Conservative MP for Lichfield, went back to school recently to take part in a PSHCE lesson with Year 9 pupils at Lichfield Cathedral School.

Steve Bratt, Head of PSHCE at the Cathedral School, said β€œIt is very important for all of us to understand the role of a Member of Parliament, both locally and nationally, and Mr Fabricant was very informative and entertaining.”

Brogan Hadland, Year 9 pupil, added β€œMr Fabricant was very interesting and an easy person to talk to. He told us what he thought of both Gordon Brown and Tony Blair and that he had met the Queen on three occasions.”

The PSHCE curriculum covers all aspects of personal, social, health and citizenship education and, as a result, it is hoped that several other invited guests will agree to take part in question and answer sessions with pupils throughout the school in the near future.
