Lichfield Cathedral School

Over 250 Grandparents and Grandfriends recently gathered for a sunny day of celebration at the Cathedral Junior School.

The first ever Grandparents and Grandfriends Day was held at the Longdon Green site to give everyone the opportunity to see their Grandchild’s school work and to have more opportunity to be involved in their education.

The children had sent out their invitations and were delighted by the huge response they received – with relatives and friends travelling from all over the United Kingdom and Ireland.

There was a lovely, busy atmosphere throughout the school with a great deal of chat and laughter.  The Grandparents and Grandfriends left feeling that they’d had a really enjoyable day and are already looking forward to coming back again next year.  This is a definite new annual date for the school calendar!
