Tickets are now on sale for Lichfield Cathedral Choir’s Christmas Cracker Concert in the Cathedral on Saturday, 22nd December starting at 19.00.

The Choir’s Christmas Concert has become a regular favourite in the Christmas calendar and this year will include Part One of Handel’s Messiah, Corelli’s Christmas Concerto and other seasonal favourites. The Cathedral Choir will be joined by an orchestra, and soloists from the world-famous choir of King’s College Cambridge and the Royal Academy of Music.

Philip Scriven, Director of Music and Master of the Choristers at the Cathedral, said, “We always look forward to our Christmas Cracker Concert as a real highlight in our concert calendar and enjoy singing to a large and appreciative audience each year. We are especially looking forward to performing part of Handel’s Messiah which has become one of the world's most popular musical works and is particularly associated with Christmas. The fact that the concert will be performed by candlelight will create a wonderfully evocative atmosphere.”

Tickets, priced at £15 and £10 are available from the Cathedral Shop on 01543 306150 with a special offer of buy 4 get 1 free.
