| Pupil to play rounders for England |

12 year old Holly Turbill, a pupil at Lichfield Cathedral School, has been selected to play for England in the Under 13 senior rounders squad.
At the final trials held at Aldridge High School, Holly, from Longdon
Green, impressed the selectors and was chosen for the senior squad in
her age group. Ms. Pat Bateman, head of girls’ games at Lichfield Cathedral School said, “we are all extremely proud of Holly and her selection for the England squad. She is a very talented games player and I’m sure she will play well for England.” Training with the England squad starts in the spring and Holly’s first international match will be in Bristol in May. |
