The younger children from Lichfield Cathedral Pre-Prep department are thoroughly enjoying their exciting new facilities at Longdon Green, on the A51 just to the north of Lichfield. Aged from 3 – 7, the children moved to their new premises at the beginning of this term and took no time to settle in to their new environment. Headmaster, Peter Allwood, said “The setting at Longdon Green is proving to be ideal for our younger children with purpose-built classrooms and lots of space and equipment for learning and playing. We firmly believe that every child matters and they are all making such a positive contribution to the lovely atmosphere in their new, safe and secure location. “They are also able to benefit hugely from the additional specialist teaching staff, who visit from the senior department of the Cathedral School, in subjects such as Music, French, Games and Dance”
Head of the Pre-Prep, Margaret Pearson, added “We are having a very exciting term and are enjoying getting very involved in the local community. Our children collected some lovely harvest gifts which were distributed within Longdon and are looking forward to their Nativity Play which will take place in the Longdon parish church in December. We will also be holding a Christingle service in the Cathedral and are delighted that we will be joined there by 50 volunteers from Help The Aged.” |
