Activities take place every day during the lunch break and after school both at Longdon Green and in the Close. Sports feature strongly in this, including Golf, Cricket, Cross Country, Mini Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Netball, Rugby, Aikido and Football, but there is also a wide variety of other clubs including, Art, Dance, Draughts, Latin, Science Clinic, Computer, Chess, Cross Stitch, Knitting, Book Reading, and Debating Clubs, and an extensive range of musical activities.

The active Parents' Association (Friends of the Cathedral School) built an imaginative adventure playground which is located in the historic moat. The playgrounds and the moat (dry!) are supervised throughout the day at the appropriate times so that children can have the freedom to let off steam.
