Questions about the Website
If you've received your username from the school, but do not have a password, click on the Lost Password link on the homepage and submit your username and email address. If the school has your details on record you will receive your password in your email inbox.
If this doesn't work it is likely that the school has a different email address on its records, so try using an old email address. If this still doesn't work, or if you don't have a username, you will need to contact the development office.
All old boys and girls, former staff members and former parents are eligable for a username.
On the home page (www.lichfieldcathedralschool.co.uk), find the User Login pane on the bottom right. Enter your username and password (which is case-sensitive - enter it exactly as you were given it). Then click on the login button.
If you are using your personal computer and trust everybody who has access to it, then you might want to click the box next to ‘Remember me’. This will mean that every time you come to the home page, the website will log you in automatically. Do not do this on a public computer!
Once you have logged in, you can click on the Users tab on the top right to see the content that is reserved especially for you. All current parents, staff and former pupils are eligible to login. If you do not have a username, you should contact the school.

Questions about the School
There are no academic admissions criteria at Pre-Prep level. However, care is taken to ensure that LCS can provide adequately for those with learning or behavioural difficulties. A place will only be offered if the Headmaster believes that the child will benefit from the education which the School offers.
Children wishing to join the School in Year 3 or above are assessed in NFER English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning, within a day spent with their peer group. A place will be offered if the following criteria are met:
Contact the school and make an appointment to visit either Longdon Green or Lichfield, depending on the age of your child. On the day of a visit, parents are given a guided tour either by a member of staff (Longdon) or by two pupils (Lichfield), followed by a meeting with the Headmaster. Alternatively, or additionally, Open Mornings take place once each term: the dates can be found here, or from the School Office.
On receipt of an application form, a provisional place is reserved whilst the relevant assessments or interviews are conducted, depending upon the age of the child. Once the relevant criteria are met, a provisional place is offered. (If all places are filled, a place is offered on the waiting list. When a place becomes available, priority is given to parents on the waiting list who already have a child in the School.)
When a place is offered an acceptance form is enclosed with a request for payment of a registration fee and a deposit, currently £50 and £200 respectively; a period of usually no more than a month is allowed for return of the documents before the reserved place is forfeited. A School report is requested from the pupil's present Head Teacher after receipt of the application form.
On receipt of the acceptance form and cheque, acknowledgement is made confirming the place. The pupil's name is added to the forward list. If at any stage the place is not taken up, the deposit cannot be refunded.
