The School is proud of its status as a Cathedral School, and enjoys working in close partnership with the Cathedral. It has been a recent aim to extend the musical benefits enjoyed by the boy choristers to musical young girls. With this in mind, a specialist Girls' Choir of 22 singers aged 10 - 14 has been established, and the girls have had an enormously successful first four years.
The development into secondary education allows former choristers the opportunity to continue at the School after their voices have broken. In order to make the most of their exceptional training, they will be offered Choral and Music Scholarships at the School after their voices have changed at age 13+.
The boy choristers who remain at the School after age 13+ may continue to receive vocal tuition. The longer term vision is to give the boys the opportunity to join with senior members of the girls' choir to form a potentially outstanding and unrivalled Youth Choir.
