Their work in leading the worship in the unparalleled beauty of the cathedral, enables them to develop their musical skills, under professional guidance. It also encourages a spirit of teamwork, self discipline and a striving for the highest standards in a rewarding environment. As well as its cathedral duties, the choir makes CD recordings, tours abroad and broadcasts for radio and television. All choristers receive generous scholarships from the Cathedral Chapter which opens the doors to those for whom the benefits of Independent School education might not otherwise be possible. For families in financial need, further financial assistance may be given by the school and additional support might be available from the Choir Schools' Association, or a number of other sources accessed by the School, for which applications are made via the School's Bursar. |

Internationally recognised as members of one of the finest cathedral choirs in Britain, the choristers are part of a living musical tradition which can be traced back over five centuries.
