Though there are no more than 25 boarders, there are a number of Assistant Matrons, Boarding Tutors and Student Assistants who combine to look after their needs. Boarders are normally registered with the school doctor. The school nurse gives all new boarders a medical examination, including a basic vision and hearing test. Arrangements can be made for boarders to receive dental, hospital or other medical treatment as necessary. Full details about boarding are available on request from the School Office. |

The School enjoys a happy family atmosphere, and this extends to boarding life. During term time, the Housemother is in charge in the main school building, enabling the important pastoral needs of the boarders to be met. The current provision allows only for boy boarders, the majority of whom are choristers. The boarders live in the Palace and enjoy all the facilities available in the building and the grounds.
