Lichfield Cathedral School

The Cathedral School remained open at Lichfield on Thursday 8th February during the worst of the snow, though the Longdon site had to be closed for the day. About two-thirds of the children made it into school and enjoyed a number of special activities, including an assembly on "snow" tunes and a snowman- building competition on Stowe fields. The winning entry created by five children from Class 6R was brilliantly entitled, "Mr & Mrs White and Baby White - on a normal day".

Lichfield Cathedral School’s new specialist Girls’ Choir led the worship for the first time at Choral Evensong in the Cathedral on Wednesday last week.

Thanks to a very generous donation from the Friends of Lichfield Cathedral School, the School has been able to purchase eleven Cubase/Sibelius workstations to equip the new Music Technology Suite within the Music Department.

During the Anti-Bullying Week in the Christmas Term, pupils showed magnificent support for Barnado's by collecting a grand total of £2,251.23.

Lichfield Cathedral School is preparing to mark a milestone in its history at the end of this academic year. Instead of leaving at age 13, pupils are now being given the opportunity to stay on at the School through to GCSE’s and beyond.

The younger children from Lichfield Cathedral Pre-Prep department are thoroughly enjoying their exciting new facilities at Longdon Green, on the A51 just to the north of Lichfield.
